Head Rock Dogs

SPONSOR ONE OF OUR DESERVING DOGS OR PUPPIES

                                                                        TO-DAY

ADULTS

As you have already read on our HOME page  one of our primary objectives is to get all our dogs and puppies adopted to a loving home.  Sadly sometimes this is just not possible because an adult dog in particular is unadoptable either due to extreme shyness, is not considered pretty enough or is thought of as being  too old.

At Headrock Dogs we have a number of such dogs.  Some are extremely handsome and pretty catching the eye of many potential owners but the dogs won't let them come near.  It is one in a million who is happy to take such a dog and devote their time to making it a loving companion.  The rest stay with us and need sponsorship to help with the cost of the food and medical treatment should they fall ill or become injured.

PUPPIES

Puppy sponsorship during the first 5 or six months of their lives is of great benefit to their welfare.  Puppies need constant attention as they can suffer from so many ailments from swollen liver, blood parasites, eye infections, coughs and colds which can turn into pneumonia, in addition to the killer viruses such as Parvo and Distemper.

Below are our dogs and puppies who need sponsorship - some are already sponsored but the more the merrier.

ADULT DOGS

CHOMPOO

Chompoo means pink in Thai and she got her name due to her pink nose.  Chompoo was abandoned at the Hua Hin municipal dog pound but became a regular visiter to Headrock Dogs Centre looking for food.  She has always been extremely shy and was often bullied away from her food so we decided to bring her with our dogs when we moved to Bang Saphan.  Chompoo has grown in confidence with other dogs but is still very timid with people so she will never be adopted.

Apided

Apided was abandoned on our building site with his brother and sister as a small puppy.  Tragically his brother and sister were poisoned but amazingly Apided survived.  He has grown into a beautiful magestic true Thai dog but he remains  distrustful of people although he has grown a little in confidence.  The liklihood of Apided being adopted is very small.

BUBBLES

Bubbles was brought to our Centre with her sister as a small puppy about 5 years ago.  Although Bubbles is very pretty and affectionate to those she knows she shies away from people so is unlikely to get adopted.

Squeak

Squeak was adopted briefly but was so unmanagable the owners had to bring her back after a short time.  Like her sister Bubbles, Squeak is very pretty and she is more confident than her sister but likes to live by her rules hence her return to the Centre.

SPECS

Specs used to be very timid but since being with us at Bang Saphan she has grown considerably in confidence.  Specs has been at Headrock Dogs for about 5 years and her age is the major factor against her being adopted.

ZEBEDEE

Zebedee was brought to the Centre as a tiny puppy with his brother and sister both of whom have been adopted.  Many people have showed interest in adopting Zebedee but he is so timid of people no-one can get near him except those he has grown to trust. Zebedee will never be adopted.

PATCH

Patch was brought to us as a tiny puppy by two schoolchildren helping at the Centre. Sadly Patch never got adopted as a puppy even though she was chosen by someone who never came to collect her as so often happens.  Patch is very pretty but has grown into a timid dog probably due to being with so many dogs at the Centre.  She is gaining in confidence with us in Bang Saphan but it would need a special person to adopt her.

PUPPIES

DEW

Dew is about 5 months old and was taken in from the Temple at 3 months with a broken leg.  The leg has now mended well and she has grown into a very pretty and affectionate puppy. Sadly as she is female and growing fast the possibility of her finding an owner is limited.  Dew has had both her combine vaccinations and needs her rabies injections and will be neutered soon (mid Nov 2009).

ANCHALEE

Anchalee is an adorable, sweet, affectionate puppy taken in from the Temple where we are caring for her brothers and sisters.  She developed a cough and has a very swollen liver and  a minor skin problem.  Anchalee would have died had she remained in the Temple. She has been in our care for 2 weeks (mid Nov 2009) and is recovering well but has not had her second combine vaccination due to her bad health.  She will need constant care for at least 6 months when she will need to be neutered.

Piak

Piak was brought to us as a tiny skinny puppy on the verge of starvation about 3 months old.  His 2 brothers with whom he shared a cage both died from Parvo but Piak miraculously survived.  Since that time (early Oct 2009) he has grown in strength, character and stomach.  He has had both his combine vaccinations but will need both his rabies vaccinations and to be neutered.

 JINTANA

Jintana was brought to us as a tiny puppy with her brother and sister almost dead from starvation. Her brother and sister grew into beautiful fluffy puppies and were  adopted leaving Jintana behind. She is now about 4 months old (mid Nov 2009)  has one rabies vaccination remaining and will be neutered next month.

PRINCESS

Princess was brought to us in a plastic washing basket suffering from appalling mange.  She had no fur and her body was covered in sores her feet were swollen and her eyes infected.  After 3 weeks of Dectomax treatment her fur began to grow back, her spirit returned and she began to play with the other puppies.  Princess has had both her combine vaccinations and will need her rabies injections over the next few months.  She is scheduled to be neutered mid Nov 2009
